How to Apply to Take the MRCPCH Part 1 Examination

Once you determine your MRCPCH 1 eligibility you may apply for Paper 1A, Paper 1B or both. Applications can be downloaded from the RCPCH website or found at the MRCPCH centres around the UK. Don't forget MRCPCH examination spots can fill up quickly. If you apply too late, your application may be refused.

Make sure that your MRCPCH 1 application is completed correctly before posting it in. Applications that are not complete or arrive after the closing date will be refused and returned. Therefore, you should aim to submit your application 2 weeks before the closing date to avoid postal delays/disruptions.

Documents to be included with our MRCPCH (Paper A and Paper B) application form include:

• A signed copy of Form A
• A signed copy of Form B
• Diploma of primary medical qualification
• Correct fee
• Self addressed stamp envelope so your documents can be returned
